Kate Fox-Whyte, founder of été

été is a Toronto based design company that produces contemporary planters; realized through the unique perspective of one of Canada’s leading landscape architects.

été provides design professionals and discerning clients with artisan crafted, aesthetically innovative pieces to elevate their outdoor spaces.

Founded by Kate Fox-Whyte, in response to an often overlooked gap in the market, été planters are the missing link that connect interior and exterior architecture.

Kate’s sought after eye and expertise has resulted in iconic completed projects at every scale of complexity throughout Canada and the United States.

Her work has been profiled in numerous leading shelter publications, and online features, in addition to winning some of the disciplines most prestigious awards of excellence.

A modern outdoor patio with wooden decking, featuring a large planter with a small tree and various green plants, a comfortable gray sofa with pink and gray cushions, a black armchair, a red side table, and a large umbrella, with lush green trees and houses in the background.

Our pieces are designed and built 25km from our Toronto studio, out of noble metals and precision powder coatings.
